Jack is a professional Hustler who has been chased out of town by a previous Mark. Running with his winnings he manages to lose all but the change in his trousers by getting mugged as he leaves town.
You, as Jack, find yourself in a motel, and have to start earning cash to rebuild your bankroll. First stop Motor City Pool Hall. Here is the first location. The players are easy to play, as a beginner level. When you enter any room you can either choose someone to play against, or wait and be offered a match by one of the available characters. You have to earn money, obviously, but to gain access to the later players in the level, but you need to gain respect too. This is done by beating the opponents.
