The hidden characters in Mortal Kombat II (Smoke, Noob Saibot, and Jade) always
( t/ u, x! R4 b9 wseemed very cool to me. So awhile back I thought I could make a Pro Action Replay
cheat code to play as these characters. It was simple enough to make a code to
/ I$ r6 p, M' v5 cmake you be any of the three. Try it out in an unpatched ROM. Use these codes:

1 N3 S) f, v* {1 E, X7E2EF80E - Player 1 Is Smoke
) N3 F% b6 y0 ?- E+ `$ T7E2EF80F - Player 1 Is Noob Saibot
! Z: l# A" d# g! R* i$ b/ Y' m7E2EF810 - Player 1 Is Jade

, K5 B8 Y/ S0 vSo go give that a try, I'll wait here till you get back...

So now you see that while you can force the game to let you be one of these
3 q+ O; i' s) [5 W" S, [badass characters, doing anything other than pressing Up, Down, High Punch, or
block will cause the game to crash. This isn't very fun. So I decided to look
& |2 A$ P9 a; b9 ointo the problem and thus here is this patch.

Patch Details:
This patch does alot of things to allow the game to run with a human controlling
any of the hidden characters (Smoke, Noob, Jade) without crashing. Below are some
& l5 ~- Z* y- S- B5 }keypoints.

* All 3 characters can now move like every normal character without crashes.
* All 3 characters have Special moves.
  g) {% x2 l$ @% K. s* All 3 characters can now perform Finishing Moves and be Finished themselves.
* All 3 characters have Fatality moves.
& U- G; _$ Q3 H6 w8 h  q* All 3 characters have Friendship and Babality moves.
* All 3 characters are no longer stuck in Goro's Lair, the may appear anywhere.
1 o9 A" f, e3 u. \. n" g* Playing 2 Player Versus with a Hidden Character no longer crashes the game.
% j5 W1 g* r* f* Added 'Secret Codes' to play as any Hidden Character for Player 1.

) T0 k" V. p$ ISecret Codes:
+ b2 c1 C2 V. R# ?) rThe secret codes are entered on the Character Selection Screen. You must enter
a combination of directional pad presses followed by SELECT to enter them. The
& S' Z/ \2 @5 ~8 ]) Ecodes were made the way they are so they are very easy to enter. After hitting
SELECT you should press any of these buttons: A,B,X,Y,L,R. If you press another
direction on the directional pad after pressing Select and hearing the correct
/ i7 g6 s0 x( t8 U1 Tcode sound effect, you will change your character back to a regular character.
" e) o7 g& Q* ^; J, [* z: M- y4 a, d8 w8 WBelow are the buttons you should press. Note, You can exchange B for any of the
ones I listed above.

Play As Smoke - Right, Right, Right, Right, Right, Select, B
+ S* s/ j  [/ C. T

Play As Noob - Left, Left, Left, Left, Left, Select, B

Play As Jade - Down, Down, Down, Down, Down, Select, B

以上指令在选人画面输入。而且是必须快速输入（最好在2秒内全部完成输入）

Final Notes:
First thing you should know is there aren't any endings for the new characters.
When you beat the game and it should show an ending story, the game will default
1 c5 A; B/ S  D9 Pto Kung Lao's Ending.
! L! f3 ^9 x6 H! Z1 t. q$ G6 ~
Next, in Versus Mode any Secret Character will use Kung Lao as their "Battle
  F3 `- b* y( \0 V4 p. d; C9 S$ U, q) kPortrait" that appears on the screen that says BATTLE # and has each player's
character picture. In a later version if I can I will change this so each
" C3 ^: P* R: C" Y! Mcharacter has their own unique portrait or they will all get a question mark
  f1 o/ f* x) f, t' a3 Q3 zstyle portrait like the tournament ladder has.
