Introduction:

The hidden characters in Mortal Kombat II (Smoke, Noob Saibot, and Jade) always
seemed very cool to me. So awhile back I thought I could make a Pro Action Replay
cheat code to play as these characters. It was simple enough to make a code to
$ P! ]) x/ D/ Q- E0 ~" z7 |make you be any of the three. Try it out in an unpatched ROM. Use these codes:
! M" P5 H( `2 ^; H% _) H" ^0 d
  T+ D- J% l& U4 a  J: W5 k8 M7E2EF80E - Player 1 Is Smoke
/ P5 l8 g& ]( d6 y$ v7E2EF80F - Player 1 Is Noob Saibot
1 T! ], G! r& W+ l  z, g7E2EF810 - Player 1 Is Jade

So go give that a try, I'll wait here till you get back...

$ G9 V  p) a& ?badass characters, doing anything other than pressing Up, Down, High Punch, or
1 o8 E" P4 Y% j3 _% p- Gblock will cause the game to crash. This isn't very fun. So I decided to look
  ?1 _' e/ ]) E. v9 T2 O) cinto the problem and thus here is this patch.

Patch Details:
This patch does alot of things to allow the game to run with a human controlling
9 ]" G3 T, D+ l$ [% z3 Qany of the hidden characters (Smoke, Noob, Jade) without crashing. Below are some
# [8 I) B0 V& \3 y: w6 x. F" Ukeypoints.
) `1 k9 J0 ?4 Y; _+ K
% s' ?. y2 i* p1 x; @8 z  h* All 3 characters can now move like every normal character without crashes.
% `6 @: j  R1 {$ d* All 3 characters have Special moves.
* All 3 characters can now perform Finishing Moves and be Finished themselves.
* All 3 characters have Fatality moves.
# w  c  n* U8 D5 D& B! I0 @) M* All 3 characters have Friendship and Babality moves.
* All 3 characters are no longer stuck in Goro's Lair, the may appear anywhere.
* Playing 2 Player Versus with a Hidden Character no longer crashes the game.
1 e* }8 m! R4 X7 D% t6 P* Added 'Secret Codes' to play as any Hidden Character for Player 1.

) H" D1 w6 W- k0 y* x- W& U" TSecret Codes:
: s+ `9 N9 j# J0 p7 }# N4 SThe secret codes are entered on the Character Selection Screen. You must enter
a combination of directional pad presses followed by SELECT to enter them. The
0 ]6 G: [4 x' m, n) T, tcodes were made the way they are so they are very easy to enter. After hitting
' M( f1 Y# A5 _+ t3 p4 M( USELECT you should press any of these buttons: A,B,X,Y,L,R. If you press another
direction on the directional pad after pressing Select and hearing the correct
$ t: `7 P. h6 J) w# zcode sound effect, you will change your character back to a regular character.
9 y+ N$ Q0 s3 _Below are the buttons you should press. Note, You can exchange B for any of the
' X1 n" M" X6 [4 Nones I listed above.

Play As Smoke - Right, Right, Right, Right, Right, Select, B

以上指令在选人画面输入。而且是必须快速输入（最好在2秒内全部完成输入）

Final Notes:
3 K8 f) ]8 X: Z9 U; i9 _' PFirst thing you should know is there aren't any endings for the new characters.
# f/ S' q! Q/ HWhen you beat the game and it should show an ending story, the game will default
& K. D- A! i7 q( W- W9 O% r) U0 tto Kung Lao's Ending.

Next, in Versus Mode any Secret Character will use Kung Lao as their "Battle
4 l% Z; G. Y( F2 oPortrait" that appears on the screen that says BATTLE # and has each player's
# G, b7 R& z' c% y/ echaracter picture. In a later version if I can I will change this so each
/ x) @* m  c2 Y9 S% acharacter has their own unique portrait or they will all get a question mark
: K. `/ M' J$ ], Dstyle portrait like the tournament ladder has.
