The hidden characters in Mortal Kombat II (Smoke, Noob Saibot, and Jade) always
; c' w' {) \; F$ h& q! cseemed very cool to me. So awhile back I thought I could make a Pro Action Replay& b+ r: k/ y J2 D
cheat code to play as these characters. It was simple enough to make a code to
& b1 D6 u9 m3 ^make you be any of the three. Try it out in an unpatched ROM. Use these codes:7 W% E- A6 ^; K" T H

badass characters, doing anything other than pressing Up, Down, High Punch, or

" o* ~. i! f4 F x% b Jinto the problem and thus here is this patch.

This patch does alot of things to allow the game to run with a human controlling, C' G2 P/ L3 y( C! H2 u) S5 N+ w
any of the hidden characters (Smoke, Noob, Jade) without crashing. Below are some

* All 3 characters can now move like every normal character without crashes.
! @+ F0 P3 ?6 O- `. A: B* All 3 characters have Special moves." C% j1 K1 H; ?; O1 P
* All 3 characters can now perform Finishing Moves and be Finished themselves.
6 a% [. J: c: O* All 3 characters have Fatality moves.
- @! N5 Y( {( H+ g9 Q& M, Z2 S* All 3 characters have Friendship and Babality moves.
3 B8 {/ V; x# @+ G+ l* All 3 characters are no longer stuck in Goro's Lair, the may appear anywhere.
9 f( v6 ^. V- x7 ?, \% d* Playing 2 Player Versus with a Hidden Character no longer crashes the game.
3 Z% z8 s( C) R5 ~2 R j* Added 'Secret Codes' to play as any Hidden Character for Player 1.

The secret codes are entered on the Character Selection Screen. You must enter2 o1 T" B* k: r+ B' I1 a* x5 ~! e! |
a combination of directional pad presses followed by SELECT to enter them. The- S4 K& n' ^; Q
codes were made the way they are so they are very easy to enter. After hitting* T. h+ E! {: E% O$ D
SELECT you should press any of these buttons: A,B,X,Y,L,R. If you press another
1 X, F& Y7 o, N* ydirection on the directional pad after pressing Select and hearing the correct
~% a2 b7 f8 c" pcode sound effect, you will change your character back to a regular character. |! l" o/ s8 W2 t, C2 k5 t! w
Below are the buttons you should press. Note, You can exchange B for any of the
' j& Y. A0 o" j2 e9 oones I listed above.

character has their own unique portrait or they will all get a question mark0 r) v5 C8 R$ X
style portrait like the tournament ladder has.
