Introduction:

The hidden characters in Mortal Kombat II (Smoke, Noob Saibot, and Jade) always
seemed very cool to me. So awhile back I thought I could make a Pro Action Replay
cheat code to play as these characters. It was simple enough to make a code to
) v1 y- n  m- C% b' G. hmake you be any of the three. Try it out in an unpatched ROM. Use these codes:
  i. \8 M1 V9 }0 m! A6 W- l* m7 J
7E2EF80E - Player 1 Is Smoke
6 k. j* |2 ^  U$ n7E2EF80F - Player 1 Is Noob Saibot
) T/ y! l, e0 H  e+ {$ a8 O7E2EF810 - Player 1 Is Jade

So go give that a try, I'll wait here till you get back...

badass characters, doing anything other than pressing Up, Down, High Punch, or
3 Y" P! g  A* S. C9 a% X3 `block will cause the game to crash. This isn't very fun. So I decided to look
/ l8 g3 D- a  }. R3 iinto the problem and thus here is this patch.

Patch Details:
This patch does alot of things to allow the game to run with a human controlling
4 j+ r& S* B" D" K  u" @( p+ \0 t6 ^any of the hidden characters (Smoke, Noob, Jade) without crashing. Below are some
4 I; A& J( F3 x3 Nkeypoints.

* All 3 characters can now move like every normal character without crashes.
& w( b. Y0 z. k& H; m( ^# y, v* All 3 characters have Special moves.
* All 3 characters can now perform Finishing Moves and be Finished themselves.
) \% s) S" n3 R; b! L" m* All 3 characters have Fatality moves.
0 B" |0 M; i$ [0 f9 p* All 3 characters have Friendship and Babality moves.
' n5 J* y2 C4 w, U* E* All 3 characters are no longer stuck in Goro's Lair, the may appear anywhere.
* Playing 2 Player Versus with a Hidden Character no longer crashes the game.
+ O3 R3 B/ ]$ o7 ?* Added 'Secret Codes' to play as any Hidden Character for Player 1.

7 K8 Z. h: q$ B" }9 b! [The secret codes are entered on the Character Selection Screen. You must enter
' y9 R% m$ p5 U2 p$ g* s1 O8 Ja combination of directional pad presses followed by SELECT to enter them. The
, v4 y9 b# |, w# a! {$ a4 @codes were made the way they are so they are very easy to enter. After hitting
" X4 e/ `0 b1 wSELECT you should press any of these buttons: A,B,X,Y,L,R. If you press another
direction on the directional pad after pressing Select and hearing the correct
8 E; _7 s6 P5 J' Tcode sound effect, you will change your character back to a regular character.
Below are the buttons you should press. Note, You can exchange B for any of the
ones I listed above.

Play As Smoke - Right, Right, Right, Right, Right, Select, B

% Q; G1 ~0 w  q( ^. mPlay As Noob - Left, Left, Left, Left, Left, Select, B

以上指令在选人画面输入。而且是必须快速输入（最好在2秒内全部完成输入）

, l1 a: d- [( S8 S9 xNext, in Versus Mode any Secret Character will use Kung Lao as their "Battle
Portrait" that appears on the screen that says BATTLE # and has each player's
character picture. In a later version if I can I will change this so each
, S* g( L/ X, A9 g) ?8 u: C; `! kcharacter has their own unique portrait or they will all get a question mark
style portrait like the tournament ladder has.
