That means if the patch doesn't work for you, use a tool like UCON64 to convert the
original ROM to SMC or SWC format, and then remove the header.

Introduction:

The hidden characters in Mortal Kombat II (Smoke, Noob Saibot, and Jade) always
: I4 h# V, M3 q2 ~6 W4 Useemed very cool to me. So awhile back I thought I could make a Pro Action Replay
cheat code to play as these characters. It was simple enough to make a code to
make you be any of the three. Try it out in an unpatched ROM. Use these codes:
5 z& Z6 ]* o) t, P# r( c0 [
7E2EF80E - Player 1 Is Smoke
* V/ r% N& d/ M% V0 ]+ V7E2EF80F - Player 1 Is Noob Saibot
4 t" [' K. J4 ^- \$ \5 ^7 a2 h7E2EF810 - Player 1 Is Jade

8 Z" a( y( L# X# ?! F) x: Zbadass characters, doing anything other than pressing Up, Down, High Punch, or
/ m; W( w) a0 a; E3 y* cblock will cause the game to crash. This isn't very fun. So I decided to look
into the problem and thus here is this patch.

Patch Details:
! P& x0 E5 M, a( K% ^% Z% A5 yThis patch does alot of things to allow the game to run with a human controlling
any of the hidden characters (Smoke, Noob, Jade) without crashing. Below are some
) Z5 ^/ F# P* q7 {" m6 q7 ~keypoints.
. a7 o' V# t2 m9 O
* All 3 characters can now move like every normal character without crashes.
* All 3 characters have Special moves.
* All 3 characters can now perform Finishing Moves and be Finished themselves.
* All 3 characters have Fatality moves.
8 h! U/ z  f7 W' `3 C% |- ]* All 3 characters have Friendship and Babality moves.
* All 3 characters are no longer stuck in Goro's Lair, the may appear anywhere.
1 K+ g4 U# {: T1 T5 _" u* Playing 2 Player Versus with a Hidden Character no longer crashes the game.
% U. [, [- [: Y+ u0 q* Added 'Secret Codes' to play as any Hidden Character for Player 1.

The secret codes are entered on the Character Selection Screen. You must enter
. O. B8 n0 F+ K7 D$ ma combination of directional pad presses followed by SELECT to enter them. The
% v  q* u# A$ E% gcodes were made the way they are so they are very easy to enter. After hitting
SELECT you should press any of these buttons: A,B,X,Y,L,R. If you press another
: v& N1 t- a: o% J. [direction on the directional pad after pressing Select and hearing the correct
" U; W* d7 m, [code sound effect, you will change your character back to a regular character.
Below are the buttons you should press. Note, You can exchange B for any of the
* c: m7 K" @9 _9 x. t+ O' r7 bones I listed above.

- s* k9 ~2 ?/ z- oPlay As Smoke - Right, Right, Right, Right, Right, Select, B

Play As Noob - Left, Left, Left, Left, Left, Select, B

以上指令在选人画面输入。而且是必须快速输入（最好在2秒内全部完成输入）

0 t6 C! l0 Z, d0 h4 rFirst thing you should know is there aren't any endings for the new characters.
When you beat the game and it should show an ending story, the game will default
, a  g4 b* u/ C6 E5 ]$ z% Ato Kung Lao's Ending.

Next, in Versus Mode any Secret Character will use Kung Lao as their "Battle
  H3 K: X# ^$ ~$ o+ s1 Z$ Z1 FPortrait" that appears on the screen that says BATTLE # and has each player's
character picture. In a later version if I can I will change this so each
character has their own unique portrait or they will all get a question mark
/ B9 |# h& }" M. v9 S  L4 Ustyle portrait like the tournament ladder has.
