The hidden characters in Mortal Kombat II (Smoke, Noob Saibot, and Jade) always
7 q7 X' t' D( {+ Zseemed very cool to me. So awhile back I thought I could make a Pro Action Replay
cheat code to play as these characters. It was simple enough to make a code to
make you be any of the three. Try it out in an unpatched ROM. Use these codes:

7E2EF80E - Player 1 Is Smoke
. p3 S: L7 J7 z4 E9 E" Y7E2EF80F - Player 1 Is Noob Saibot
7E2EF810 - Player 1 Is Jade

So go give that a try, I'll wait here till you get back...

0 @( f- I0 z. Q5 B& }% ]1 ~0 ?badass characters, doing anything other than pressing Up, Down, High Punch, or
6 G0 D* p  y, G7 xblock will cause the game to crash. This isn't very fun. So I decided to look
into the problem and thus here is this patch.

Patch Details:
6 P) z, i  h6 C# `; c7 K) {This patch does alot of things to allow the game to run with a human controlling
1 q3 G, I( p4 F3 b8 w* Y; v; tany of the hidden characters (Smoke, Noob, Jade) without crashing. Below are some
keypoints.
( g1 R8 }% L% `2 x+ U4 o4 }7 C
7 Z+ X) m; X. Q. w! H$ l. g* All 3 characters can now move like every normal character without crashes.
* All 3 characters have Special moves.
* All 3 characters can now perform Finishing Moves and be Finished themselves.
* All 3 characters have Fatality moves.
* All 3 characters have Friendship and Babality moves.
7 F. v  m5 H, Y4 h7 ?* All 3 characters are no longer stuck in Goro's Lair, the may appear anywhere.
* Playing 2 Player Versus with a Hidden Character no longer crashes the game.
' ]& t7 e7 [+ `+ \! v* Added 'Secret Codes' to play as any Hidden Character for Player 1.

Secret Codes:
5 z: O. Q' R+ c7 j$ {! j! uThe secret codes are entered on the Character Selection Screen. You must enter
a combination of directional pad presses followed by SELECT to enter them. The
codes were made the way they are so they are very easy to enter. After hitting
0 U& h# L; u( F) i2 RSELECT you should press any of these buttons: A,B,X,Y,L,R. If you press another
' c; v" G/ I) [# A* Ldirection on the directional pad after pressing Select and hearing the correct
code sound effect, you will change your character back to a regular character.
Below are the buttons you should press. Note, You can exchange B for any of the
ones I listed above.

Play As Noob - Left, Left, Left, Left, Left, Select, B

; ]1 K, b5 U3 z) Z4 Z以上指令在选人画面输入。而且是必须快速输入（最好在2秒内全部完成输入）

First thing you should know is there aren't any endings for the new characters.
$ k0 u3 R0 t& G) x! V3 F' \; PWhen you beat the game and it should show an ending story, the game will default
to Kung Lao's Ending.

: C9 }+ N3 a* n! I: {9 jNext, in Versus Mode any Secret Character will use Kung Lao as their "Battle
, I8 w8 ?. z* k. vPortrait" that appears on the screen that says BATTLE # and has each player's
7 f' x6 A  |/ C. c/ Y* I# I: Acharacter picture. In a later version if I can I will change this so each
! |  M) T, T6 K$ n+ ~6 rcharacter has their own unique portrait or they will all get a question mark
. ^% q5 T0 |/ G: \& qstyle portrait like the tournament ladder has.
