! g' Q1 O/ k* C  oThe hidden characters in Mortal Kombat II (Smoke, Noob Saibot, and Jade) always
seemed very cool to me. So awhile back I thought I could make a Pro Action Replay
! o+ f: w5 F. Vcheat code to play as these characters. It was simple enough to make a code to
make you be any of the three. Try it out in an unpatched ROM. Use these codes:

So now you see that while you can force the game to let you be one of these
* e$ C5 ]! M, y( v+ Q- `badass characters, doing anything other than pressing Up, Down, High Punch, or
3 k6 [' m3 e8 ~* f3 h) f( dblock will cause the game to crash. This isn't very fun. So I decided to look
into the problem and thus here is this patch.
+ E; @4 D3 Q# \% j

5 L" n" }7 B$ N. }. ?: U9 T  o  \This patch does alot of things to allow the game to run with a human controlling
( I- u4 c9 n( w: nany of the hidden characters (Smoke, Noob, Jade) without crashing. Below are some
5 V# c& g  S, J% {0 W" ^keypoints.

* All 3 characters can now move like every normal character without crashes.
7 p3 y4 p$ j+ `: s* All 3 characters have Special moves.
+ K; m* k- H+ l* All 3 characters can now perform Finishing Moves and be Finished themselves.
9 T% P, A* t. j1 G' I/ x  P* All 3 characters have Fatality moves.
7 E, U* T$ o  X2 _( N2 z8 u* All 3 characters have Friendship and Babality moves.
" @  b  N# a0 {! y% C3 t) _$ a' g* All 3 characters are no longer stuck in Goro's Lair, the may appear anywhere.
4 z$ ]: _" I! ^1 u" `7 d* Playing 2 Player Versus with a Hidden Character no longer crashes the game.
8 M- ?+ M. w" r' ^3 K3 J* Added 'Secret Codes' to play as any Hidden Character for Player 1.

  O9 t! Z) K* |( _Secret Codes:
- o" z" E, P2 m. F9 Z1 bThe secret codes are entered on the Character Selection Screen. You must enter
a combination of directional pad presses followed by SELECT to enter them. The
# {( l4 d1 d+ \4 P) Z' `0 }codes were made the way they are so they are very easy to enter. After hitting
SELECT you should press any of these buttons: A,B,X,Y,L,R. If you press another
  `; {# T' Z) L* {7 Y: ~direction on the directional pad after pressing Select and hearing the correct
* j6 Q1 Z" S6 ocode sound effect, you will change your character back to a regular character.
Below are the buttons you should press. Note, You can exchange B for any of the
ones I listed above.

Play As Smoke - Right, Right, Right, Right, Right, Select, B

Play As Noob - Left, Left, Left, Left, Left, Select, B

以上指令在选人画面输入。而且是必须快速输入（最好在2秒内全部完成输入）

4 E- [5 \, G4 C; a+ A& _First thing you should know is there aren't any endings for the new characters.
When you beat the game and it should show an ending story, the game will default
. ]* D  S7 x9 I9 V5 P; t9 A# B+ vto Kung Lao's Ending.
) g1 Q7 F& [1 v& j! @, d
Next, in Versus Mode any Secret Character will use Kung Lao as their "Battle
Portrait" that appears on the screen that says BATTLE # and has each player's
character picture. In a later version if I can I will change this so each
character has their own unique portrait or they will all get a question mark
style portrait like the tournament ladder has.
