The hidden characters in Mortal Kombat II (Smoke, Noob Saibot, and Jade) always
3 t; B4 }( T& |1 d0 O9 n% Lseemed very cool to me. So awhile back I thought I could make a Pro Action Replay" F! J1 ~0 z, D9 G1 E+ S% f
cheat code to play as these characters. It was simple enough to make a code to6 V8 \+ q# J( e5 W
make you be any of the three. Try it out in an unpatched ROM. Use these codes:

block will cause the game to crash. This isn't very fun. So I decided to look

This patch does alot of things to allow the game to run with a human controlling$ Z! x; A) w9 X1 a4 U3 p7 o% m
any of the hidden characters (Smoke, Noob, Jade) without crashing. Below are some

* All 3 characters can now move like every normal character without crashes.: t- t' X$ B6 J5 p

* All 3 characters have Friendship and Babality moves.

* Added 'Secret Codes' to play as any Hidden Character for Player 1.

The secret codes are entered on the Character Selection Screen. You must enter

% D! @+ W$ l! q$ i$ p& D' [6 tcodes were made the way they are so they are very easy to enter. After hitting( r5 w& b* C! W0 f) \# b3 q# W
SELECT you should press any of these buttons: A,B,X,Y,L,R. If you press another; M2 O3 m' L; n9 p( u2 r
direction on the directional pad after pressing Select and hearing the correct
$ j! r4 A; W" tcode sound effect, you will change your character back to a regular character.
& P8 Y7 R' Z% }( K& `Below are the buttons you should press. Note, You can exchange B for any of the: W. f# x6 s/ u
ones I listed above.

; f" H8 k( E6 YNext, in Versus Mode any Secret Character will use Kung Lao as their "Battle

style portrait like the tournament ladder has.
