The hidden characters in Mortal Kombat II (Smoke, Noob Saibot, and Jade) always
' p: _- ?3 H3 N: U/ D  Hseemed very cool to me. So awhile back I thought I could make a Pro Action Replay
4 b7 Z& d, J2 E  h, V# c& icheat code to play as these characters. It was simple enough to make a code to
- Z. _6 @: `! Rmake you be any of the three. Try it out in an unpatched ROM. Use these codes:

& {8 f! A8 I7 C' f2 c% fbadass characters, doing anything other than pressing Up, Down, High Punch, or
7 n8 o3 Q$ r  s: ]: P9 l! Yblock will cause the game to crash. This isn't very fun. So I decided to look
7 X4 p# I0 z& H( y; ]3 minto the problem and thus here is this patch.

Patch Details:
This patch does alot of things to allow the game to run with a human controlling
/ C+ Z2 U3 C$ j5 Qany of the hidden characters (Smoke, Noob, Jade) without crashing. Below are some
keypoints.
! h; y7 P4 H) v( ~3 W& ]
* All 3 characters can now move like every normal character without crashes.
; B& e# F" Q: {; ?7 D9 X& o  D8 H* All 3 characters have Special moves.
# e# w; k7 x0 k! |, ?* All 3 characters can now perform Finishing Moves and be Finished themselves.
: J4 G6 @- g4 F# b$ x- L/ |* All 3 characters have Fatality moves.
* c, W) ^# V* T; d: I5 S& o9 @9 r* All 3 characters have Friendship and Babality moves.
" Q/ V) f1 |' f: E0 Y  N$ E+ U* All 3 characters are no longer stuck in Goro's Lair, the may appear anywhere.
* Playing 2 Player Versus with a Hidden Character no longer crashes the game.
* Added 'Secret Codes' to play as any Hidden Character for Player 1.

5 t: Q5 B: |9 j8 XSecret Codes:
# e% z: Z) G8 i5 d- oThe secret codes are entered on the Character Selection Screen. You must enter
) E5 ?2 B/ y' l5 T7 D/ y  va combination of directional pad presses followed by SELECT to enter them. The
- u* ?6 d. p0 n% v  |codes were made the way they are so they are very easy to enter. After hitting
SELECT you should press any of these buttons: A,B,X,Y,L,R. If you press another
direction on the directional pad after pressing Select and hearing the correct
2 \; Z0 s4 _% }8 B: a/ kcode sound effect, you will change your character back to a regular character.
Below are the buttons you should press. Note, You can exchange B for any of the
& @2 ^$ ?0 h- e. Dones I listed above.

Play As Smoke - Right, Right, Right, Right, Right, Select, B


Play As Noob - Left, Left, Left, Left, Left, Select, B

Final Notes:
First thing you should know is there aren't any endings for the new characters.
When you beat the game and it should show an ending story, the game will default
- Z0 \) C: y3 l! _6 m# H6 a& rto Kung Lao's Ending.

Next, in Versus Mode any Secret Character will use Kung Lao as their "Battle
4 w- H- s* I3 M+ bPortrait" that appears on the screen that says BATTLE # and has each player's
character picture. In a later version if I can I will change this so each
- T* H3 |# f0 v7 E- ?* m2 Icharacter has their own unique portrait or they will all get a question mark
( \1 Q) R1 x9 wstyle portrait like the tournament ladder has.
