The hidden characters in Mortal Kombat II (Smoke, Noob Saibot, and Jade) always' N% P& I* q) A
seemed very cool to me. So awhile back I thought I could make a Pro Action Replay# T$ m; r- F# E: f7 a9 b
cheat code to play as these characters. It was simple enough to make a code to
2 q$ u$ S- \/ }( d: {# z8 h8 t+ @; e+ _make you be any of the three. Try it out in an unpatched ROM. Use these codes:6 u: C o% O, w9 C& A& n* F

block will cause the game to crash. This isn't very fun. So I decided to look
# i2 J3 z: b- _5 a5 kinto the problem and thus here is this patch.

. D4 B9 v! ?/ m" j' p2 b; Q }& ZThis patch does alot of things to allow the game to run with a human controlling# J- |6 B; r, n/ @5 H% x' b
any of the hidden characters (Smoke, Noob, Jade) without crashing. Below are some& i! A( }+ u( ?. }9 m
keypoints.$ X" X* ?( M0 O- B
$ s6 u$ ?7 x$ T: Y( a/ Z' j* All 3 characters can now move like every normal character without crashes.
/ P; P3 j7 G4 k* All 3 characters have Special moves.
% i" } g7 X" L# T" P2 y( b x* All 3 characters can now perform Finishing Moves and be Finished themselves.
" m; M4 P6 w4 N5 N* All 3 characters have Fatality moves.
$ L: H: w. X0 s: N6 [ F+ ~* All 3 characters have Friendship and Babality moves.
# b. b" G* r% q* All 3 characters are no longer stuck in Goro's Lair, the may appear anywhere.
/ _% x) W4 U& x- d& d+ Q( o* Playing 2 Player Versus with a Hidden Character no longer crashes the game.
+ x- z: `$ L3 p. F) S9 l5 f* Added 'Secret Codes' to play as any Hidden Character for Player 1.

The secret codes are entered on the Character Selection Screen. You must enter" C( e0 I3 a# r- {. p- Y$ r
a combination of directional pad presses followed by SELECT to enter them. The) j9 N, E9 J Z
codes were made the way they are so they are very easy to enter. After hitting
8 b2 o' ^8 W' ]% ~) H7 I7 R7 PSELECT you should press any of these buttons: A,B,X,Y,L,R. If you press another+ n- _: z' u M t: {
direction on the directional pad after pressing Select and hearing the correct
# V6 Y: W& u' @# i5 J$ s: b! k0 Icode sound effect, you will change your character back to a regular character.
& }( }$ {, l4 ] n( e& BBelow are the buttons you should press. Note, You can exchange B for any of the
