The hidden characters in Mortal Kombat II (Smoke, Noob Saibot, and Jade) always( ]$ r9 }/ A4 Q- G% f; J8 j" K
seemed very cool to me. So awhile back I thought I could make a Pro Action Replay' R9 k, h6 Y; e: ^
cheat code to play as these characters. It was simple enough to make a code to* J* K' ?) `" x; u
make you be any of the three. Try it out in an unpatched ROM. Use these codes:

7E2EF80E - Player 1 Is Smoke+ ~; e4 b! Y* y/ C' _0 n
7E2EF80F - Player 1 Is Noob Saibot

So now you see that while you can force the game to let you be one of these

$ h3 n1 h$ [6 g4 V9 Mblock will cause the game to crash. This isn't very fun. So I decided to look9 L+ N" w) R s! w; u. |0 x
into the problem and thus here is this patch.

This patch does alot of things to allow the game to run with a human controlling4 S i0 G# T. O0 `4 K* C( W
any of the hidden characters (Smoke, Noob, Jade) without crashing. Below are some/ r# g$ E# P* I- d7 @
keypoints.. A/ h: O* L9 b7 o0 O3 z
. E2 h, V/ b1 r0 Z6 ?- P
* All 3 characters can now move like every normal character without crashes.
7 t, e3 p! b3 g0 \2 j" e* All 3 characters have Special moves.
# a7 Z& m% |, S6 }* All 3 characters can now perform Finishing Moves and be Finished themselves.4 G S( |) k0 L. I% k0 j( b' v6 r6 }
* All 3 characters have Fatality moves.8 p+ W E: x: u% X1 ?( s) z' \
* All 3 characters have Friendship and Babality moves. 5 x5 t* I0 D0 ^6 A" E
* All 3 characters are no longer stuck in Goro's Lair, the may appear anywhere.

* Added 'Secret Codes' to play as any Hidden Character for Player 1.! Y- a: r% a2 j4 v3 P

Secret Codes:" A& ]4 @5 \% V6 a2 Q; h! D0 X
The secret codes are entered on the Character Selection Screen. You must enter
6 O; r. B) j9 M# u) ua combination of directional pad presses followed by SELECT to enter them. The
6 I+ D$ I: X1 t' t4 X1 Lcodes were made the way they are so they are very easy to enter. After hitting
% P3 x) i' f9 t% F" {8 kSELECT you should press any of these buttons: A,B,X,Y,L,R. If you press another
' L& }& W6 y$ j8 L$ hdirection on the directional pad after pressing Select and hearing the correct Y* Y$ _8 @1 s7 f. s
code sound effect, you will change your character back to a regular character.9 @, x) m' D* b5 S
Below are the buttons you should press. Note, You can exchange B for any of the

First thing you should know is there aren't any endings for the new characters.

- e4 i1 T0 }2 ]# a, q A, ENext, in Versus Mode any Secret Character will use Kung Lao as their "Battle

character picture. In a later version if I can I will change this so each
( y1 V+ C& L( \character has their own unique portrait or they will all get a question mark
