Introduction:

The hidden characters in Mortal Kombat II (Smoke, Noob Saibot, and Jade) always
seemed very cool to me. So awhile back I thought I could make a Pro Action Replay
1 e$ V% H$ ]3 lcheat code to play as these characters. It was simple enough to make a code to
make you be any of the three. Try it out in an unpatched ROM. Use these codes:

7E2EF80E - Player 1 Is Smoke
7E2EF80F - Player 1 Is Noob Saibot
6 E: |+ \* g8 T6 L. H7E2EF810 - Player 1 Is Jade
0 M5 O/ X- K  O/ N3 G% d) v0 u
So go give that a try, I'll wait here till you get back...


/ D0 |( r; r) A  L# KSo now you see that while you can force the game to let you be one of these
5 U9 F8 {. W3 T* _% T& H1 Ibadass characters, doing anything other than pressing Up, Down, High Punch, or
4 J( P  m$ Q/ Z/ [: Y& Xblock will cause the game to crash. This isn't very fun. So I decided to look
into the problem and thus here is this patch.

Patch Details:
' N1 i0 o* z) ]* u$ p' {' KThis patch does alot of things to allow the game to run with a human controlling
any of the hidden characters (Smoke, Noob, Jade) without crashing. Below are some
! L: w- S, O- _, T' s1 m2 }keypoints.
8 r% Q+ }3 X; S$ f# r3 x3 N8 B
* All 3 characters can now move like every normal character without crashes.
5 R7 K: x4 M$ a4 C* T* All 3 characters have Special moves.
, s3 c8 \  d- H. Z$ w' I  F0 ~* All 3 characters can now perform Finishing Moves and be Finished themselves.
* All 3 characters have Fatality moves.
* All 3 characters have Friendship and Babality moves.
' A  C0 N8 x- @- n: ], q% W* All 3 characters are no longer stuck in Goro's Lair, the may appear anywhere.
& f& R: F. F: T% U" O* Playing 2 Player Versus with a Hidden Character no longer crashes the game.
* Added 'Secret Codes' to play as any Hidden Character for Player 1.

* G  g! w3 r1 Y1 f) c# mSecret Codes:
$ K, `4 b% U9 ^  N- O7 YThe secret codes are entered on the Character Selection Screen. You must enter
a combination of directional pad presses followed by SELECT to enter them. The
- n+ `3 C1 n+ f- A( ucodes were made the way they are so they are very easy to enter. After hitting
) y( a% E1 a2 @0 A& ^SELECT you should press any of these buttons: A,B,X,Y,L,R. If you press another
direction on the directional pad after pressing Select and hearing the correct
: O9 l' [, n/ M3 E9 _code sound effect, you will change your character back to a regular character.
Below are the buttons you should press. Note, You can exchange B for any of the
ones I listed above.

5 N& g" z$ W1 l; M4 X+ ~Play As Smoke - Right, Right, Right, Right, Right, Select, B


  L4 _' T& ]) n9 J0 t0 EPlay As Noob - Left, Left, Left, Left, Left, Select, B

以上指令在选人画面输入。而且是必须快速输入（最好在2秒内全部完成输入）

Final Notes:
First thing you should know is there aren't any endings for the new characters.
When you beat the game and it should show an ending story, the game will default
4 R: s* G+ E/ D. ~( ?3 m, nto Kung Lao's Ending.
* z! j4 d9 M$ n1 P9 X! V; l4 K
Next, in Versus Mode any Secret Character will use Kung Lao as their "Battle
2 O+ Y- V4 l3 N: yPortrait" that appears on the screen that says BATTLE # and has each player's
character picture. In a later version if I can I will change this so each
$ F' O) t# m9 ^1 v. mcharacter has their own unique portrait or they will all get a question mark
3 y6 B2 ^2 s9 d  E: A. t4 t" bstyle portrait like the tournament ladder has.
