The hidden characters in Mortal Kombat II (Smoke, Noob Saibot, and Jade) always
% b4 I- K- I) @, M/ J3 Pseemed very cool to me. So awhile back I thought I could make a Pro Action Replay
5 C2 k" X: I1 J: [0 R6 Ncheat code to play as these characters. It was simple enough to make a code to
- \5 H7 s0 T# C: p+ [* v; Z( cmake you be any of the three. Try it out in an unpatched ROM. Use these codes:
# d5 ~9 z. L. N" l
1 E+ u+ R1 a$ v& C+ p0 R% Z$ \) |7E2EF80E - Player 1 Is Smoke
7E2EF80F - Player 1 Is Noob Saibot
1 s' x: Y: ^8 o7 V, L" k7E2EF810 - Player 1 Is Jade

So go give that a try, I'll wait here till you get back...

. k7 W3 S1 Q! i7 J& ]badass characters, doing anything other than pressing Up, Down, High Punch, or
9 }' {! F( N3 Y! \" cblock will cause the game to crash. This isn't very fun. So I decided to look
into the problem and thus here is this patch.

; |( I- D' E- F- }, b" z: tPatch Details:
This patch does alot of things to allow the game to run with a human controlling
any of the hidden characters (Smoke, Noob, Jade) without crashing. Below are some
" w9 l6 z( b2 @9 u, @' Ekeypoints.

2 q- L$ w% N7 i9 \, ]4 x9 y, }# o* All 3 characters can now move like every normal character without crashes.
* All 3 characters have Special moves.
* All 3 characters can now perform Finishing Moves and be Finished themselves.
+ N( w# h- b( {6 t* D7 ^7 ?* All 3 characters have Fatality moves.
5 \4 V; M; G1 ]* All 3 characters have Friendship and Babality moves.
* All 3 characters are no longer stuck in Goro's Lair, the may appear anywhere.
* Playing 2 Player Versus with a Hidden Character no longer crashes the game.
$ l& k) c6 q, s( D. b3 G: n0 O* Added 'Secret Codes' to play as any Hidden Character for Player 1.

/ I- Y; F& ^) ]9 i3 \+ gSecret Codes:
5 K0 O; {) L1 mThe secret codes are entered on the Character Selection Screen. You must enter
$ I* r! x3 N9 U9 L4 G8 z. Y9 Na combination of directional pad presses followed by SELECT to enter them. The
3 |! V* @" O  q0 \, m" Ecodes were made the way they are so they are very easy to enter. After hitting
1 S7 J- v- G1 Q8 b! P9 [SELECT you should press any of these buttons: A,B,X,Y,L,R. If you press another
direction on the directional pad after pressing Select and hearing the correct
code sound effect, you will change your character back to a regular character.
$ N7 h. u1 e, x- Q+ J& \/ c' tBelow are the buttons you should press. Note, You can exchange B for any of the
  A/ q! X' j$ T% z- E  Eones I listed above.

2 Y) X# v5 a( k: j8 TWhen you beat the game and it should show an ending story, the game will default
to Kung Lao's Ending.

9 }2 Q  r+ `  a" {$ _Next, in Versus Mode any Secret Character will use Kung Lao as their "Battle
Portrait" that appears on the screen that says BATTLE # and has each player's
! Q0 h: r0 L& Rcharacter picture. In a later version if I can I will change this so each
character has their own unique portrait or they will all get a question mark
2 N8 Y* t4 [% y! s% g3 qstyle portrait like the tournament ladder has.
