0 o$ C0 p3 i" nThe hidden characters in Mortal Kombat II (Smoke, Noob Saibot, and Jade) always
seemed very cool to me. So awhile back I thought I could make a Pro Action Replay
cheat code to play as these characters. It was simple enough to make a code to
3 b  F5 z2 |3 ]" H6 J+ i# H' cmake you be any of the three. Try it out in an unpatched ROM. Use these codes:

1 u  u2 b0 K7 u2 _+ q7E2EF80E - Player 1 Is Smoke
/ k/ _: I; [: h% c, s7E2EF80F - Player 1 Is Noob Saibot
7E2EF810 - Player 1 Is Jade

7 W! ?0 f" l% K1 w" OSo now you see that while you can force the game to let you be one of these
3 ^0 m) r( L4 u1 A& x5 U3 ]7 Gbadass characters, doing anything other than pressing Up, Down, High Punch, or
block will cause the game to crash. This isn't very fun. So I decided to look
* ~/ i* z' S9 b4 U! r3 Qinto the problem and thus here is this patch.

& I% U4 A" d$ DPatch Details:
This patch does alot of things to allow the game to run with a human controlling
any of the hidden characters (Smoke, Noob, Jade) without crashing. Below are some
+ l; V& y$ [3 k  a$ Rkeypoints.
' @8 @; x8 B. h8 z
* All 3 characters can now move like every normal character without crashes.
* All 3 characters have Special moves.
: a1 t; ~. k' ^! T9 t) a* All 3 characters can now perform Finishing Moves and be Finished themselves.
; P3 A  l: p7 E2 ~% I$ f; `* All 3 characters have Fatality moves.
5 w) G. h' @& \/ b. k" O  x8 F* Q* All 3 characters have Friendship and Babality moves.
- a* J5 W$ h5 ~3 n6 g0 ]& _1 ^* All 3 characters are no longer stuck in Goro's Lair, the may appear anywhere.
* Playing 2 Player Versus with a Hidden Character no longer crashes the game.
! _# L; ?& u+ g  y* Added 'Secret Codes' to play as any Hidden Character for Player 1.

4 R: i- `, r& O* n, [Secret Codes:
. v! x" X% M4 V( G. b9 y: [The secret codes are entered on the Character Selection Screen. You must enter
7 M8 W) W4 O- ]1 G& A! _a combination of directional pad presses followed by SELECT to enter them. The
5 `: O7 ~; e/ ]" W; @+ z% Gcodes were made the way they are so they are very easy to enter. After hitting
" {& x! J; v2 M8 VSELECT you should press any of these buttons: A,B,X,Y,L,R. If you press another
9 P) Z6 I- L: ldirection on the directional pad after pressing Select and hearing the correct
7 z( W$ _7 F- U: h0 k/ b6 Ucode sound effect, you will change your character back to a regular character.
Below are the buttons you should press. Note, You can exchange B for any of the
ones I listed above.

Final Notes:
. C; P& f# V& @8 |' {First thing you should know is there aren't any endings for the new characters.
+ J0 e1 |' j6 N. Z2 |5 hWhen you beat the game and it should show an ending story, the game will default
$ K; g) z0 X* i) Fto Kung Lao's Ending.

Next, in Versus Mode any Secret Character will use Kung Lao as their "Battle
% M  W1 P7 P( A1 w; Q+ @' xPortrait" that appears on the screen that says BATTLE # and has each player's
character picture. In a later version if I can I will change this so each
character has their own unique portrait or they will all get a question mark
1 _: ?6 B, Y4 T8 N: X( bstyle portrait like the tournament ladder has.
