The hidden characters in Mortal Kombat II (Smoke, Noob Saibot, and Jade) always
8 ?% d9 Q9 o# \& S ?seemed very cool to me. So awhile back I thought I could make a Pro Action Replay9 T) J/ o% `* w- M' i$ K( K" D. e
cheat code to play as these characters. It was simple enough to make a code to
4 Y7 _4 a' D7 k$ U2 T" bmake you be any of the three. Try it out in an unpatched ROM. Use these codes:

This patch does alot of things to allow the game to run with a human controlling
1 \: L$ `; {$ R- Y) P" m' sany of the hidden characters (Smoke, Noob, Jade) without crashing. Below are some c W& l6 ^ E' W; h, \

2 ?& ?# ]! b/ L. ]6 m* All 3 characters can now move like every normal character without crashes.
- b9 {3 D r8 x9 s2 q8 _9 s$ \* All 3 characters have Special moves.
& Q; T. J' `0 R1 \* All 3 characters can now perform Finishing Moves and be Finished themselves.
; M+ t5 ^ l& H3 L, |# O; a6 {; k* All 3 characters have Fatality moves.- O+ u8 V- A t8 f
* All 3 characters have Friendship and Babality moves.
E! t% n3 K* U5 P: z# I! |* All 3 characters are no longer stuck in Goro's Lair, the may appear anywhere.% Z( L0 N, n7 e# @' o
* Playing 2 Player Versus with a Hidden Character no longer crashes the game.

The secret codes are entered on the Character Selection Screen. You must enter
- S' r/ m+ p/ pa combination of directional pad presses followed by SELECT to enter them. The
8 w% V2 n% @2 N& A) acodes were made the way they are so they are very easy to enter. After hitting# [6 R9 r4 A1 n% g* S2 g
SELECT you should press any of these buttons: A,B,X,Y,L,R. If you press another
" c5 c1 _ ]8 H% r) {% @+ ?5 H" Ldirection on the directional pad after pressing Select and hearing the correct8 v6 g# r- B* t( B3 I! D
code sound effect, you will change your character back to a regular character.9 Q' c3 T0 b/ |, _9 A2 \

First thing you should know is there aren't any endings for the new characters.

Next, in Versus Mode any Secret Character will use Kung Lao as their "Battle) K0 t5 q4 f$ h; W
Portrait" that appears on the screen that says BATTLE # and has each player's- _6 W! d2 W7 K/ v6 v
character picture. In a later version if I can I will change this so each: r# i. e2 a$ d. c1 a! |! o$ D# w
character has their own unique portrait or they will all get a question mark
* w8 U( h; \7 Z$ Z, s4 nstyle portrait like the tournament ladder has.
