The hidden characters in Mortal Kombat II (Smoke, Noob Saibot, and Jade) always
( y; @% \8 x' m+ iseemed very cool to me. So awhile back I thought I could make a Pro Action Replay9 g7 n0 {5 Y& H! P
cheat code to play as these characters. It was simple enough to make a code to% r. u9 y* i0 ~5 H. L" R$ h
make you be any of the three. Try it out in an unpatched ROM. Use these codes:) I/ `& z* B, X2 D2 H& p! }" Q

block will cause the game to crash. This isn't very fun. So I decided to look

* All 3 characters have Fatality moves.

* All 3 characters are no longer stuck in Goro's Lair, the may appear anywhere.

The secret codes are entered on the Character Selection Screen. You must enter" m, R2 M5 I- q" b5 x
a combination of directional pad presses followed by SELECT to enter them. The
! I1 ]- E. Y) q7 Vcodes were made the way they are so they are very easy to enter. After hitting
& H; a/ J: i! G: k! T4 x5 wSELECT you should press any of these buttons: A,B,X,Y,L,R. If you press another
, t7 L0 W6 R, d& G3 hdirection on the directional pad after pressing Select and hearing the correct- q2 W, c9 G4 m: O6 S3 O# x
code sound effect, you will change your character back to a regular character.

Next, in Versus Mode any Secret Character will use Kung Lao as their "Battle q" T, Z% [. h5 T0 j% t

character picture. In a later version if I can I will change this so each
1 m# X5 |" e' O" d7 Dcharacter has their own unique portrait or they will all get a question mark
