The hidden characters in Mortal Kombat II (Smoke, Noob Saibot, and Jade) always
* }( T* n4 m' Iseemed very cool to me. So awhile back I thought I could make a Pro Action Replay
- s8 y& D/ b! s/ {% \cheat code to play as these characters. It was simple enough to make a code to
make you be any of the three. Try it out in an unpatched ROM. Use these codes:

7E2EF80E - Player 1 Is Smoke
7E2EF80F - Player 1 Is Noob Saibot
/ d7 [& g% m+ G6 n  I7E2EF810 - Player 1 Is Jade

So go give that a try, I'll wait here till you get back...

2 u' T2 E+ n% z$ A4 GSo now you see that while you can force the game to let you be one of these
: T8 H) `  j: D" ]8 D6 V7 Fbadass characters, doing anything other than pressing Up, Down, High Punch, or
block will cause the game to crash. This isn't very fun. So I decided to look
into the problem and thus here is this patch.

Patch Details:
: ?+ l3 b- \- P  r- C2 a, G% u7 FThis patch does alot of things to allow the game to run with a human controlling
+ E4 }" l# b: c9 `) ?any of the hidden characters (Smoke, Noob, Jade) without crashing. Below are some
keypoints.
6 a+ `# B' w1 ]: I% j# l
: k) R7 h; X1 ?3 `/ o0 Q. M* All 3 characters can now move like every normal character without crashes.
* All 3 characters have Special moves.
- E, E: l9 m! K0 R" g5 ^" h$ o* All 3 characters can now perform Finishing Moves and be Finished themselves.
4 \) W* }: t/ d% ?+ _7 z* All 3 characters have Fatality moves.
* All 3 characters have Friendship and Babality moves.
8 t# }' {2 X/ ?* All 3 characters are no longer stuck in Goro's Lair, the may appear anywhere.
* Playing 2 Player Versus with a Hidden Character no longer crashes the game.
+ j3 M  C$ d% S/ U9 W- G* Added 'Secret Codes' to play as any Hidden Character for Player 1.

Secret Codes:
The secret codes are entered on the Character Selection Screen. You must enter
a combination of directional pad presses followed by SELECT to enter them. The
codes were made the way they are so they are very easy to enter. After hitting
8 A6 W5 [6 e3 @! l1 v2 T2 S. VSELECT you should press any of these buttons: A,B,X,Y,L,R. If you press another
1 n8 @; M6 I( Sdirection on the directional pad after pressing Select and hearing the correct
7 ^7 N  Z0 x" p# l/ m7 xcode sound effect, you will change your character back to a regular character.
Below are the buttons you should press. Note, You can exchange B for any of the
ones I listed above.

Play As Smoke - Right, Right, Right, Right, Right, Select, B

1 A6 A0 Q' y. F/ v+ ^$ q; bPlay As Noob - Left, Left, Left, Left, Left, Select, B

) f: k, y3 R( E/ S: S2 X/ P- m( D
Play As Jade - Down, Down, Down, Down, Down, Select, B
) x0 F! Y4 R+ r3 U8 x5 T# {
以上指令在选人画面输入。而且是必须快速输入（最好在2秒内全部完成输入）

3 n* ]5 i8 t7 `5 [- i3 T3 }First thing you should know is there aren't any endings for the new characters.
8 _6 d. `6 Z) q; KWhen you beat the game and it should show an ending story, the game will default
to Kung Lao's Ending.

: I' v5 ^6 i& ]3 Y2 A) ?Next, in Versus Mode any Secret Character will use Kung Lao as their "Battle
& u8 Q" L7 s3 B# [& e! H% l, `; BPortrait" that appears on the screen that says BATTLE # and has each player's
character picture. In a later version if I can I will change this so each
5 O& u+ {7 n* a1 }: }character has their own unique portrait or they will all get a question mark
style portrait like the tournament ladder has.
