The hidden characters in Mortal Kombat II (Smoke, Noob Saibot, and Jade) always
! C7 n8 M5 B$ z# Qseemed very cool to me. So awhile back I thought I could make a Pro Action Replay
cheat code to play as these characters. It was simple enough to make a code to
make you be any of the three. Try it out in an unpatched ROM. Use these codes:

7E2EF80E - Player 1 Is Smoke
7E2EF80F - Player 1 Is Noob Saibot
7E2EF810 - Player 1 Is Jade

So go give that a try, I'll wait here till you get back...

So now you see that while you can force the game to let you be one of these
! L) {4 W' O; {4 {6 Q( nbadass characters, doing anything other than pressing Up, Down, High Punch, or
; L) y) \! E+ @3 O6 Pblock will cause the game to crash. This isn't very fun. So I decided to look
+ S+ v/ D7 L& P/ u/ g$ cinto the problem and thus here is this patch.

Patch Details:
This patch does alot of things to allow the game to run with a human controlling
9 w9 _4 l3 F, \4 v4 t& j3 Nany of the hidden characters (Smoke, Noob, Jade) without crashing. Below are some
keypoints.

* All 3 characters can now move like every normal character without crashes.
& l+ i2 d! M# J8 x+ q' t. {* B8 L* All 3 characters have Special moves.
* All 3 characters can now perform Finishing Moves and be Finished themselves.
3 l8 d- x" w+ I1 b# a5 N1 A* All 3 characters have Fatality moves.
4 K1 B0 p  T' y* All 3 characters have Friendship and Babality moves.
' _4 Q0 m8 g( K; D, n; @( c* All 3 characters are no longer stuck in Goro's Lair, the may appear anywhere.
9 E' V4 F/ S% y! c1 Z( ]* Playing 2 Player Versus with a Hidden Character no longer crashes the game.
( X' ?% `9 ~3 ~# c* Added 'Secret Codes' to play as any Hidden Character for Player 1.

* ]9 D" \2 m0 x% E: QSecret Codes:
The secret codes are entered on the Character Selection Screen. You must enter
a combination of directional pad presses followed by SELECT to enter them. The
+ f1 ^$ e- X0 _, W  scodes were made the way they are so they are very easy to enter. After hitting
# _! r: Y+ |# Y- L6 n9 z' z# G% USELECT you should press any of these buttons: A,B,X,Y,L,R. If you press another
direction on the directional pad after pressing Select and hearing the correct
code sound effect, you will change your character back to a regular character.
Below are the buttons you should press. Note, You can exchange B for any of the
+ ~3 P% }5 t) c- p1 ~ones I listed above.

以上指令在选人画面输入。而且是必须快速输入（最好在2秒内全部完成输入）

Final Notes:
First thing you should know is there aren't any endings for the new characters.
When you beat the game and it should show an ending story, the game will default
3 W: Q. z$ n- T- T; mto Kung Lao's Ending.

8 N7 L7 ~, g8 V0 X! VNext, in Versus Mode any Secret Character will use Kung Lao as their "Battle
Portrait" that appears on the screen that says BATTLE # and has each player's
7 I6 F) F& n* U9 Vcharacter picture. In a later version if I can I will change this so each
+ U% `" c. ?4 U& ^, I4 y! l% H" fcharacter has their own unique portrait or they will all get a question mark
style portrait like the tournament ladder has.
